A. No. The GMI plan can only begin the date you depart the U.S.
Q. Are my Pre-existing conditions covered?
A1. After 24 months of continuous coverage on the IMG plans pre-existing conditions are covered at $10,000 per year and a lifetime maximum of $50,000.
A2. If the pre-existing condition gets excluded from coverage, otherwise known as getting a rider, then it will not be covered even after 24 months.
Q. What benefits that do not start at the start of the policy begin after 12 months continuous coverage?
A. Wellness benefits and mental health.
Q. Is organized or extreme sports covered?
A. Medical treatment for injuries while participating in organized or extreme sports while on this international health insurance plan is excluded / not covered.
Q. When renewing my policy using the annual payment option, is my credit card debited at the time of renewal or on the effective date of the renewed policy?
A. Your credit card will be debited at the time of renewal regardless of the effective date of the policy.
Q. Does my IMG GMI policy cover my child’s immunizations?
A. Yes, immunizations are considered a “Wellness” benefit. Child wellness benefits are available after 12 months of continuous coverage on the GMMI Silver, Gold, and Gold Plus plans. On the GMMI Platinum, child wellness is available after six months of continuous coverage.
Q. When does my IMG GMI policy cover me for adult wellness?
A. Adult wellness benefits are available after 12 months of continuous coverage on the Gold and Gold Plus plans. On the Platinum plan, adult wellness is available after six months of continuous coverage. There are no wellness benefits for adults on the Bronze or Silver plans.
