Pattaya is one of the largest, most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. If you’re planning to spend your next vacation in Pattaya, you should check out the Bottle Art Museum. The museum was founded in 1995 by Mr. Pieter Bijdeleij, a native of Holland. The Bottle Art Museum has a collection of unique bottles and is the only museum like it in the world. There are about 300 miniature buildings presented in bottles of different shapes, sizes, and colors. In addition to miniature buildings and ships, some bottles also have miniature famous tourist spots from around the world, such as churches, temples, and castles. All miniatures are made very similar to the original. The bottles have many different shapes, such as box-shaped, oval, circular, hexagonal, rectangular, etc.
A visit to the museum begins with a brief introduction video. This video explains how the founder of the museum, created these unique works of art. After watching the video, you can walk through the three rooms of displays. Each room shows different cultures around the world.
There are many ways to get to the musuem. If you stay at a hotel around Pattaya, the hotel will usually provide free transportation from the hotel to the museum. If not, you can use a bus or taxi. The museum is across from Mini Siam, but the building housing the museum can be hard to find, so it’s good to have the address to give to the driver.
If you want to begin a new hobby, the museum gives weekly art lessons teaching the basics of bottle art construction. While the museum might not be the highlight of your Thailand vacation, it is very interesting and makes a great rainy day activity.
